Are you about to give up? Did your boyfriend just dump you for that Instagram chick he told you not to worry about? Have you lost that little glimmer of hope you had left and now contemplating suicide? Is that you? Don’t! Just don’t! But well, if I’m going to be honest with you, it will probably get worse than this. You had one meal today, yeah? You probably going to go for a week without food. You are scared you will lose your supermodel girlfriend, right? You are probably going to lose her to your best friend who you are always sharing your insecurities with. It’s going to be a rough road. Truth is you are going to bleed to get everything you deserve. Sorry if I’m blunt, God rolled me that way. I remember my father telling me this, “A diamond needs a lot of pressure to become a precious stone. Gold has to go through the fire to gain more value. So without the fire, without the pressure, there won’t be any treasure.” I boast of becoming the first black man to make into the top three billionaire’s list. I boast of creating an empire that is going to feed 14 generations after me and probably 14 more generations to come after that. I boast of being part of a team that made my motherland the breadbasket of Africa again. I could go on but that’s a story for another day.

Picture this, A year ago: You started working out, now you love your body. You launched your podcast, now people are tuned in. You started a business, now you out-earn your 9-5. You asked that special person out, now you in love. Nah this didn’t happen. You are afraid to take your first step (Tony Folly) but look life begins at the end of your comfort zone. Warriors are not the ones who always win, but those who always fight. Not all storms come to disrupt your life, some are there to clear your path and faith does not mean trusting God to stop the storm. It means trusting Him to strengthen you as you walk through the storm. I believe it can be done. I did it, so can you. Don’t lose sight of your dreams. Keep on dreaming. It is always darkest before dawn. “The world wants to see you fail, but the world won’t stop someone who won’t be denied” (Matt Larson). Steve Jobs said it better, “rebels, the troublemakers, the round pegs in the square holes... the ones who see things differently -- they’re not fond of rules... You can quote them, disagree with them, glorify or vilify them, but the only thing you can’t do is ignore them because they change things, they push the human race forward, and while some may see them as the crazy ones, we see genius, because the ones who are crazy enough to think that they can change the world, are the ones who do.”
